Free Talk on Intimacy with Mia Ganda

Intimacy is often misunderstood as something transactional, something reserved for the bedroom or tied only to physical closeness. But true intimacy is so much more.

It’s about deep connection, vulnerability, and the courage to be fully seen and felt. It lives in how we show up, in how we speak, how we touch, how we listen, and how we choose to be present with ourselves and others.

When people hear the word tantra, many immediately think of Kama Sutra, sensual practices, or romantic rituals. But tantra is much deeper than that. It’s a path of the heart — a way of returning to the senses, awakening the life force within us, and living with full presence and embodied connection.

At the core of this path is erotic energy — not limited to sexuality, but as a vital, creative force. A gateway to intimacy, vitality, and wholeness.

Poet and activist Audre Lorde speaks powerfully to this in her essay Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power. She reclaims the erotic as a profound source of life-affirming energy — a resource that fuels not only our passions, but our truth, creativity, and aliveness.

In her words:

“The erotic is a resource within each of us that is nurtured and developed by our relationship to the world around us, and it can be used to fuel our personal and collective creativity, freedom, and expression.”

This is also the invitation of tantra: to explore the full spectrum of our erotic and emotional selves, and to allow that exploration to inform how we live, love, create, and connect.

Free Talk About Intimacy

In this field of inquiry, I recently had a private dialogue with my friend Mia Ganda.

Our conversation touched on the power of erotic awareness, the difference between performance and connection, and what it truly means to meet ourselves and others in the rawness of real intimacy.

If you feel the call to witness our dialogue, you can watch it here.
